How we calculate your footprint
CarbonSetu uses the India Personal Carbon Footprint (IPCF India v1.0) framework — a citizen-grade methodology that draws emission factors from the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), IPCC AR6, DEFRA, FAO and MoEFCC. All numbers are disclosed below.
Formula (Quick mode)
Annual CO₂e (kg) = (Electricity_kWh/month × 12 × 0.75) // CEA grid factor + (LPG_cylinders/yr × 14.2 kg × 3.0) // MoEFCC + ((Petrol_L + Diesel_L)/month × 12 × factor)// IPCC AR6 + (Flight_km × 0.15 or 0.18) // DEFRA + Diet_baseline_kg // FAO India - Lifestyle_adjustments
